A little about me

The journey so far...

I was born in London and brought up in Kent. This explains my neutral accent and British sense of humour!

I did a degree in Business Studies with Marketing and my first career was in sales and marketing. I ran my own direct marketing company with offices in Nottingham and Leeds before I decided that the part I loved most was teaching and training. And the rest is history!

I’ve been teaching English since 1998. I trained in London before moving to Mexico, where I worked as a teacher, academic director, and school manager.

In 2002, I relocated to Barcelona, taking on roles as a teacher and academic coordinator, and I transitioned to freelance teaching in 2020.

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of organisations and helping both individuals and professionals at all levels achieve their English goals.

“My focus is on helping students progress
from their current level to their desired level.”

For many years, I have successfully prepared 100’s of students for B2, C1, and C2 Cambridge exams — if this interests you, please mention it when you contact me.

Today, I use my teaching skills to help business professionals improve their level of business English, offering practical training in presentation skills, interviews, social English, and clear, confident communication.

Since 2005, I have worked as a materials’ writer for major educational publishers such as Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, and Macmillan.

I use my experience as a content creator to produce personalised materials for my students designed around their needs which is more motivating and useful.

I have also trained as a personal coach and a stand up comedian! Don’t ask me to tell you a joke but I’m sure you will appreciate the humour of our classes and also the emotional support and motivation I bring as a coach.

For this reason, I feel when you work with me you get more than a teacher!

If you would like to have a chat about how I could help you improve your English language and skills, please get in touch by email or WhatsApp.

It’s been a pleasure to serve so many people over the years and I hope I can support you on your English speaking journey and who knows, maybe we can write some exciting new chapters together!

Very best wishes

Peter
